questions:
1. describe what you did to make your work?
to make my piece I used water color and pen to add some details. I looked at my reference picture to get some ideas, but I wasn't trying to make it exactly like the photo.
2. Analyze your artistic choices. Why did you choose the media (art supply) you did for this artwork? How did you make your work the best you could
I chose to use watercolor because I enjoy it and I wanted to make something fun because I didn't have that much time . I made the best work I could by adding lots of different colors in the sky and grass.
3. What problems did you solve as you work on planning and making your final work? What is most successful about your work?
One problem I faced was trying to get details with the watercolor but using pen helped with that. I think the most successful thing about my artwork was that it was fun to make, and helped me relax this past week.

questions:
1. describe what you did to make your work?
to make my drawing I first took some reference pictures and put them in black and white so that they would be easier for me to draw in pencil. Then I did a small practice sketch, and started my final piece.
2. Analyze your artistic choices. Why did you choose the media (art supply) you did for this artwork? How did you make your work the best you could
I chose to use pencil because I using it for the strawberries I did a few weeks ago, and thought it could be a sort of theme. I made my work the best I could by trying to create a texture in the blueberries and by showing the highlights.
3. What problems did you solve as you work on planning and making your final work? What is most successful about your work?
I originally tried to do this piece in colored pencil, but my sketches just didn't look right, so I decided to do it in pencil. I think what is most successful about my work is how it actually looks similar to the image, and how you can see the texture in the blueberries.

questions:
1. describe what you did to make your work?
to make this piece I started of by taking some reference pictures and then planning out how I wanted my piece to look, and then I made my final piece. I used some different pen techniques like cross-hatching to shade the flowers.
2. Analyze your artistic choices. Why did you choose the media (art supply) you did for this artwork? How did you make your work the best you could
I chose to use pen because I enjoy using it and I had done something similar before. I made my work the best I could be creating depth in the flowers with pen. I also tried some new techniques that I saw in some other pen and ink artists.
3. What problems did you solve as you work on planning and making your final work? What is most successful about your work?
One problem I faced was in my planning I realized the different flowers didn't go well together, so I decided to change up my final piece, and just do the roses with some leaves. I think what is most successful about my work is how you can see the contrast between the lights and the darks.

1. Describe what you did to make your work.
- To make my artwork I first setup my strawberries in a clear bowl and did some sketches, and I also took a picture of the strawberries to use for later. Then I did a larger final drawing.
- I chose to use pencil for this artwork because I thought it would be an interesting way to see the lights and darks in the strawberry, and also it was something I knew I had at home. I made the best work I could be trying to shade the strawberry well, and adding highlights using an eraser.
- One problem I solved was that at first my drawing looked really two dimensional, but I think by adding in the highlights it made it look more 3D. What was successful about it is that it ended up looking pretty close to the picture besides the background, and I think the highlights in the bowl ended up looking good.
Character Trait Artwork
Here are my planning and in progress pictures:
1. Describe your planning and work process for this piece.
- For planning this piece I first thought of many different character traits that I would be interested in making an artwork for, and then I ended up choosing narcissism, and then I came up with the idea to make an artwork about the idea of being the center of the world.
- I think my choice to use watercolor and pen together made a big impact on how the final artwork looked. The watercolor made the background look interesting, and the pen allowed me to add more details throughout the piece
- One challenged I faced when creating the piece was the the galaxy background wasn't turning out the way I had imagined so to try and fix this I continued to layer more watercolor to create a darker effect. Also one change I made was I ended up cropping my painting after I had started because the background was to large, and the girl didn't feel like the focus of piece which made it seem like it didn't really represent narcissism as well as it could have. Another challenge I faced was adding the details because it was so small the face didn't turn out exactly like I wanted to, but I do like how the overall piece turned out.
- I want the viewer to notice how this piece represents narcissism, through the idea of someone thinking they're the center of the world.
Figure Drawing Final
Questions:
- 1) Describe your planning and work process for this piece.
- For planning this piece I first did some sketches to try to learn more about proportions of the face because I had not worked with this much before. After I had planned everything out I started my final piece, starting first with the figures and then working into the background.
- 2) How did your planning and artistic choices (media, composition, size, technique used) impact the final artwork?
- The way I cropped the original image played a large role in the final composition of the artwork. Another artistic choice that made a big difference in the final artwork was that I made the background a lot darker in general then the figures, which makes them pop out more.
- 3) What problems did you solve as you worked, or what changes/ revisions did you make to your original idea? How did this improve the final work?
- One problem I faced during this project was getting the proportions of the face, and their angles correctly. I made a lot of changes from the original sketch to the final just trying to make the figures look as realistic as I could. This improved the final artwork because it made it look more accurate to the picture.
- 4) What do you want the viewer to notice about this work?
- I think that I want the viewer to notice the details in the drawing, and how the figures stand out from the background.
